Heavy rain intensity caused landslides in Gunung Pancang located in Long Bagun Ulu Village, Long Bagun Sub-District on May 09, 2017. In the incident 5 people were reportedly buried in landslides. They are sheltering under the tarball hut that was built by them, suddenly high ground lands above them crashed and throwing the hut.
The victims were used to looking for wood in the forest. This incident occurred at 1.00 am. Heavy rain was occurred at the time of the incident,that makes the plateau of land movement and cause landslides.
As a result of the incident, 2 people were found dead. Meanwhile, 3 others were buried by landslides.
