High rainfall that occurred near the end of this September made 4 Districts located in Langkat flooded, which are Tanjung Pura, Padang Tualang, Hinai and Secanggang District. Floods soaked homes at Sep 20th, 2016 at 8.45 PM. According to reports this disaster occured because deforestation and high intensity of the rain which falls from noon until night. Based on Health Crisis Centre, there is no casualties of this incident but there were 112 people displaced to safe places.
Ministry of Health through the Health Crisis Centre take immediatelly quick action to coordinate assistance at the district level by doing RHA (Rapid Health Assessment). Ministry of Health still continues to monitor and report for this flood disaster.
