Passenger Ship to Tidung Island Burned, 23 People Died

On Sunday, January 1st, 2017, at 08:45 pm there has been a fire in passenger ship Zahro Ekspress destination Tidung Island. The ship that was originally heading to Tidung Island was burned after departing from the dock of Kaliadem, Muara Angke, Penjaringan, North Jakarta around 08.00 pm. Temporary suspicion, the fire caused a short circuit of the battery and causing an explosion and propagate to the ship"s engine. The number of passengers is estimated at 251 inhabitants.

Health Problems

a. 23 people died and identified as many as 3 people, 20 other bodies are still in the identification process at Police Hospital Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

b. The victim lost as many as 17 people.

c. Severe injuries / hospitalizations were 17 people treated at RSCM, RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Pluit Hospital, Pertamina Central Hospital.

d. There were 31 people who were treated in Atmajaya Hospital, Gatot Subroto Hospital, Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital, Pluit Hospital, Pertamina Central Hospital, Tarakan Hospital, Budhi Asih Hospital.

Efforts Done

a. Evacuate the victim and activate SPGDT.

b. Conducting health services in referral hospitals namely RSCM, Gatot Subroto RSPAD, RSP PLuit, RSPP, Atmajaya Hospital, RS PIK, Pluti Hospital, Tarakan Hospital and Budhi Asih Hospital.
