Flash Flood which occured in Wana Wisata Grape’s river, Wungu Sub-district, Madiun District on April 10, 2017 has caused casualties. There are six students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bani Ali Mursad reportedly washed away in the incident. According to the victim"s information, they came to the place to do outbound activities. Then when they were took a rest, the six victims were playing in the river, shortly thereafter, suddenly a huge flood came to drown the six victims.
Based on Health Crisis Center data, six students were floated off.
The search for victims was conducted by the combined team. Two victims were found lifeless about one kilometer from the point of sinking. The team is still trying to find other victims. Allegedly, the victims were swept away far, because the volume of water was quite heavy at the time of the incident.
